The SIMS Foundation is an organization dedicated to providing access to services and financial support for upholding or restoring the well-being of Austin-area musicians and their families. Their main focus is provision of mental health and addiction recovery services. The foundation was established in 1995 by the friends and family of Sims Ellison, a talented young Austin musician, after his battle with depression ended in suicide.
